چکیده
Residues of pharmaceutical and direct metabolites discharged into the aquatic environment have become a challenge for wastewater treatment facilities due to their increase in concentration different physicochemical properties. These emerging contaminants are daily detected surface water by municipalities. To remediate contaminated water, various methods currently used including primary, secondary, tertiary advanced treatments. However, some economic environmental limitations forced scientific community develop alternative disinfection processes purify wastewater. As such, adsorption strategy represents “green” low-cost effective solution remove pollutants from water. In this study, nanomaterial made N,O-carboxymethyl chitosan (N,O-CMCS) was prepared using (CS) monochloroacetic acid under conditions. N,O-CMCS electrospun synthetized with copolymer polyethylene oxide (PEO) create nanofiber membranes showing better specificity toward diversified depending on pH medium. The developed adsorbent fluoxetine (FLX) aqueous solutions. new characterised FTIR, NMR, SEM techniques. Sorption batch tests were carried out high-performance liquid chromatography ultraviolet diode array detector (HPLC-UV DAD) controlled experimental conditions determine contaminant removal capacity nanomaterial. promising results obtained N,O-CMCS/PEO nanofibers among best ones so far comparison other commercial adsorbents tested FLX’s adsorption. Kinetic experiments also performed investigate effects contact times FLX Experimental fitted both common kinetic models pseudo-first second order. latter model described sorption surface. It revealed possible chemisorption mechanism electrostatic bounding nanofibers.

Adsorption of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solutions by Silk Cocoon
This study concerns the performance of cocoons spun by silk worms as a natural adsorbent for removal of Methylene Blue (MB) from aqueous solutions. To study the adsorption process, the effect of various parameters such as contact time, adsorbent dosage, dye initial concentration, and pH of the solution were investigated. According to the experiments, the kinetic data were best described by ...

Pollution of water resources by various pollutants is nowadays a global environmental issue. Among the different type of water pollutants, dye represents a major polluting group. In this study, Azolla filiculides roots have been used for adsorption of Malachite Green (MG), a cationic dyed from aqueous solution. In this study, effects of operating parameters such as initial concentration of dye ...
متن کاملElectrospinning of cyclodextrin functionalized polyethylene oxide (PEO) nanofibers
By means of the electrospinning technique we have successfully synthesized cyclodextrin (CD) functionalized polyethylene oxide (PEO) nanofibers (PEO/CD) with the ultimate goal to develop functional nanowebs. Three different types of CDs; a-CD, b-CD and c-CD are incorporated individually in electrospun PEO nanofibers. The aqueous solutions containing different amount of PEO (3%, 3.5% and 4% (w/v...
متن کاملAdsorption of Ni(II) and Cd(II) from Aqueous Solutions Using Modified Rice Husk
Background and purpose: Recently, release of pollutants such as heavy metal ions to the environment becomes one of the most important problems for soil and water. The present study was conducted to introduce modified rice husk (RH) as a new low-cost adsorbent. Materials and Methods: In this study, tartaric acid modified RH (TARH), was used as an adsorbent for removal of Ni(II) and Cd(II) from w...
